The Behind Story about the Reason Why WMSCOG Received a Citiation.

WMSCOG(World Mission Society Church of God) in Jungnang, Seoul, recieved a citation from the head of Jungnang word office. Bellow Newspaper said because of their volunteer work, the head of Jungnang word office gave the citation to wmscog.

[In recognition of heartfelt environmental cleanup activities 

and service for the neglected class of people]

The World Mission Society Church of God (General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol), which has helped the neglected class of people through various volunteer activities, received a citation from the head of Jungnang-gu in December 24. 

During the awards ceremony, Mun Byeong-gwon the head of the Jungnang ward office presented a citation to Pastor O Du-hwan of the Church of God(wmscog) located in the Sinnae-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul and said, “The Church of God has carried out various volunteer service activities for the neglected class of people, as well as the environmental cleanup movement. Even a little help can encourage our unprivileged neighbors greatly. On behalf of our local citizens, I give thanks to the Church of God and its members for their heartfelt volunteer service.”

Not only the enthusiastic preaching work, the Church of God(wmscog) in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, has been carrying out various volunteer service activities such as environmental cleanup, snow-removing, disaster recovery, giving donations and daily necessities to their neighbors in need, the blood drive, etc.

How to prepare birthday of Ahnsahnghong in Gyeongnam

Christ Ahnsahnghong meets the 94th anniversary of His birth in Dec 2011. He was born 1918 and he start the life of gospel worker in 1848 according to the parable of fig tree.

What is the parable of fig tree?

That is words of Jesus, when we study the prophecy of the fig tree,

we realize when Jesus come again.

Mat 24:32~33 「 Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that itd is near, right at the door. 」

Around December 25 the anniversary of Christ Ahnsahnghong’s Sacred Birth, the Church of God carries out various volunteer activities all over the world

In Gyeongnam province in Korea, too, the “Environmental Cleanup Celebrating the Sacred Birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong” was held, which the World Mission Society Church of God (General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) has been carrying out throughout the world. 

Those who rolled up their sleeves to clean the streets of Gimhae were the members from Gimhae, Milyang and Yangsan—the Eastern Gyeongnam Union of the Church of God. Families of the members, their acquaintances and neighbors, who had interest in the environmental issues, also participated in the cleanup. 

The Church of God has made efforts to promote a pleasant residential environment in many ways, and one of them was regularly carrying out the street cleanup. Pastor Park Uk-jin of the 2nd Gimhae Church of God said, “We are holding the street cleanup on a large scale to practice the love of God who sacrificed for the salvation of human beings, celebrating the 94th anniversary of the sacred birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong, which is on December 25, this year. We also hope that we can reduce the scale of environmental disaster by taking out citizen’s awareness of environmental problems and their participation.” 

The members cleaned up the area around the Injae University in Gimhae.

This day, the cleanup started from 11 a.m. The weather was chilly with the wind of winter. ......

It is hard to see a large group of people voluntarily clean up the streets in a cold weather. Park Gwang-ho the chief of Saman ward office, and Cho Yu-sik the president of the Yongnam Maeil & Younganam Broadcasting Cooperation thanked them for cleaning the area which was urgently needed to be cleaned. The Saman ward office provided the members with garbage tongs and garbage bags, and picked up the bags filled with garbage. 

Park Gwang-ho the head of the ward office appreciated their heartfelt efforts, saying, “Thank you for your great work in this cold weather. I’m very grateful to your effort for our community. I hope that we will be good neighbors, giving and receiving help each other.” ......

The Church of God says that they will hold the celebration service on December 25, 2011, in 1,900 Churches of God throughout the world, meeting the anniversary of Christ Ahnsahnghong’s birth. Saying that they are carrying out environmental cleanup and helping the unprivileged neighbors inside and outside of Korea around the anniversary of Christ Ahnsahnghong’s birth, they hope that they will be able to deliver the love of God who came to this earth for the salvation of human beings and the truth of salvation, through their activities. 

According to the Church of God, Christ Ahnsahnghong who meets the 94th anniversary of His birth this year is the founder of the Church of God. He was born in 1918 and baptized in 1948 at His age of thirty, according to the prophecy about the fig tree. For thirty-seven years from then, He preached the feasts and regulations of the new covenant such as the Sabbath, the Passover, the seven feasts in three times and the regulation on veil, and He ascended to heaven in February, 1985, fulfilling the prophecy of King David. The Church of God believes that Christ Ahnsahnghong who perfectly restored all the feasts of the new covenant which Jesus Christ established 2,000 years ago, is the Second Coming Christ who is the Savior in the age of the Holy Spirit. 

This year, the Church of God carried out the environmental cleanup movement three times all around the world.

The Church also donated rice and daily necessities to the Sambang ward office for the people in difficult.

1Co. 13:1~4 「 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Around year-end and New Year, large-scale events such as bazaar and concert for the neglected neighbors are held successively. Among them, there are people who help our neighbors with love and heartfelt care.

It is the members of the World Mission Society Church of God (General Pastor Kim Joo-Cheol) that help neighbors in need spend winter warmly throughout the country.

The Church of God members in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, donated electric pads for our neighbors in financial difficulty on January 3. The members said it was to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the sacred birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong.

Kim Han-jin, the pastor of the Church of God in Pyeongtaek said, “Not only in Pyeongtaek but every place in Korea and in the whole world, the Church of God is sharing love before and after the birthday of Christ Ahnsahnghong which fell on Dec. 25, 2011(Dec. 1 by the lunar calendar). We wish our neighbors, who are living tough lives in poor environment, to spend a warm winter in the love of God.”

And he added, “We hope that not only material aid but also God’s love toward humankind and the new covenant, which is the truth of salvation, will be delivered to them.”

This day, the pastoral staff and the members of the Church of God visited the City Hall of Pyeongtaek and donated 50 electric pads to Mayor Kim Seon-gi, and asked him to deliver them to neighbors in need such as social security recipients. Kim Seon-gi, the mayor of Pyeongtaek city, thanked them and said, “I truly give thanks to you for paying much attention to our neighbors in need with God’s love even, in this financially difficult time.” Additionally, he encouraged them, saying, “I think the Church of God will be prosperous day after day by practicing such devotional love.”

The Church of God believes both God the Father and God the Mother on the basis of the teachings of the Bible. It is well known as the church that practices Christ’s love through various volunteer activities such as helping neighbors in need, disaster recovery work, consolatory activities, environmental clean-up, etc. Above all else, they try to spread the truth about God the Mother, who is the reality of life and love, and Her love.

The World Mission Society Church of God (General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol)is taking the lead in helping neighbors in need throughout the country with the mind of a mother. Love sharing activity, which is performed a few days before the New Year holiday, is expected to give great consolation and encouragement to our neighbors suffering from loneliness and hardship of life every national holidays.

On January 18 (Wed), the pastoral staff including Pastor Lim Seon-taek and the members of the World Mission Society Church of God in Jangan, Suwon, visited Yeonghwa ward office in Jangan district, and donated 50 bags of 20kg rice and 10 boxes of Ramyeon (noodle) to Lee Yeong-hak, the head of the ward-office, so that senior citizens living alone and social security recipients could be supported.

Pastor Lim Seon-taek asked the head of the ward office to deliver them to the neighbors who positively need help, saying, “When the National Holidays come, it is natural to long for warm family affection. Though these are small gifts, we hope that these will become warm gifts to senior citizens and neighbors spending National Holidays lonely.” 

At this, the head of Yeonghwa ward office expressed his gratitude, saying, “In our ward, there are over 270 social security recipient families, and the vulnerable out of reach of the ward office. We really give thanks to the World Mission Society Church of God for helping our neglected neighbors and those who are in need, this actively.” 

In commemoration of the 94th anniversary of the sacred birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong, the World Mission Society Church of God started to carry out the environmental cleanups and to help neighbors, from at the end of the last year and constantly carries out the volunteer service activities throughout the world in the New Year, too. Besides that, the Church receives the notice in Korea that it sets a good example of practicing Christ’s love by donating rice, noodle and gift sets, welcoming the National Holidays. 

On the same day, the Church of God in Giheung, Yongin, visited the Yongin City Hall and donated of 100 bags of 10kg rice to Mayor Kim Hak-gyu and asked him to deliver them to Yongin residents in need. On January 19,the Church donated rice and noodle for unfortunate neighbors in Chungju, Chungbuk and in Jeongju, Jeonbuk.

The Church of God believes in God the Mother on the basis of the Bible, and is eager to practice and spread Mother’s love. In particular, the Church keeps the Passover of the new covenant as the greatest feast. The Church explained that the Passover is the new covenant Jesus Christ established 2,000 years ago, which is the feast that contains God’s love to rescue humankind from disasters and lead them to the kingdom of heaven.

[The 17th Messiah Orchestra Tour Concert to Help Flood Victims 

in Thailand and Earthquake Victims in Turkey]

The song of hope presented to global neighbors

  The World Mission Society Church of God Messiah Orchestra closed the year 2011, giving hope to our global neighbors who were driven to despair. “The 17th Messiah Orchestra Tour Concert to Help Flood Victims in Thailand and Earthquake Victims in Turkey” was for comforting the Thai victims who were suffering from the worst flood ever and the Turkish victims who were greatly harmed by an earthquake. The Messiah Orchestra, which actively held the charity concert to help the earthquake victims in Chile and Haiti in various cities of Korea in 2010, prepared the three times of concert for two days—December 20 and 21—in Suwon Gymnasium in 2011.


  People from all walks of life—politics, economy, art, and broadcasting—came to the concert and united their minds. Even two hours before the concert, the citizens formed long lines enough to encircle the Suwon Gymnasium. The concert received great attention and fervent response from the citizens, and it was attended by an audience of 27,000. 

  The orchestral music of the New Song, “O Eternal Eden,” overwhelmed the audience from the start as it described the magnificent kingdom of heaven full of wonder with mystical and lively melody together with perfectly harmonized chorus. Then classical music that is familiar to everybody was staged. 

  The New Song is the highlight of the Messiah Orchestra concert. The New Song which is all written and composed by the members of the World Mission Society Church of God is the song of the soul to praise Elohim God(Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother)—the Savior in the age of the Holy Spirit, with gratitude and joy of salvation. 

  The audience who were greatly impressed by the performance expressed their emotion in an excited voice, “I could feel that they wanted to deliver hope to people who have pain in their hearts through their music,” and, “It seems that the Messiah Orchestra is a messenger delivering heaven’s blessing and love through their music. I hope that they will continue to give the sound of hope to many people living in this hard and tough world.”

  The Messiah Orchestra, which consists of 100 members from the World Mission Society Church of God, was founded in October 2000 to deliver the glory of Elohim God(Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother) through beautiful New Songs. It has also helped our global neighbors in difficulties, and contributed to society through their concerts. Now it is planning to extend into a large orchestra with 120 members to convey the love of God(Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother) to the whole world.

Before and after the anniversary of Christ Ahnsahnghong’s birth, there were various events that took place throughout the world to tell people about Christ’s second coming and to put His love into practice.

In Korea, the members from each local Church organized diverse events to help their neighbors who were getting through a cold and tough winter. They comforted their neighbors by providing free haircuts and holding charity bazaars, and they also donated food and daily necessities to senior citizens living alone and to parentless households. They extended their warm hands even to the writers in need who did not receive much attention from people.

Moreover, they personally delivered gifts to government offices including police stations and fire stations. By doing so, they conveyed God’s love to many people.

There were also large-scale environmental cleanup campaigns. The members actively carried out cleanup campaigns in various parts of the downtown area—in nearby towns and around the stations—as well as at the major rivers and mountains such as the Geumhogang (Riv.), the Seomjingang (Riv.), and the Gwanaksan (Mt.).

The overseas members were also busy preparing for the anniversary of Christ Ahnsahnghong’s birth. They personally put Father’s love into practice through various volunteer activities such as cleanup campaigns and blood drives. In addition, they extensively publicized the coming of Christ Ahnsahnghong through performances and media channels.
